Arthur Harari is a French actor, writer, and director. He has directed the films Dark Inclusion and Onoda: 10,000 Nights in the Jungle. He also co-wrote his films, as well as Sibyl (2019) and Anatomy of a Fall, the latter two with his partner, director, screenwriter, and editor Justine Triet. He appeared in all the abovementioned but Onoda; and also co-starred in Age of Panic and The Goldman Case.

He is the brother of Tom Harari, a cinematographer, and Lucas Harari, a graphic novelist. He has two children with Justine.

Arthur’s paternal grandfather was actor Clément Harari (the son of Joseph/Youssef Harari and Nouzha Lagnado). Clément was born in Egypt, to parents from Aleppo, Halab, Syria, then in the Ottoman Empire. Joseph was the son of Ayash Victor Harari and Sarah. Nouzha was the daughter of Ezra Lagnado and Rebecca Matalon.

Arthur’s paternal grandmother was named Liliane Castro. Liliane was born in Egypt.

Arthur’s maternal grandfather likely was named Isidore Mantel.

Arthur’s maternal grandmother likely was Mathilde Karo (the daughter of Abraham Karo and Rifka Rachel Salomonowicz). Abraham was the son of Elijah Karo. Rifka was the daughter of Aron Abram Salomonowicz, who was born in Zlochev, Zolochivs’kyi district, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine, and of Sura Laja Dziubas, who was born in Złoczew, Sieradz County, Łódź Voivodeship, Poland.
