Milo Machado-Graner is a French actor. He is known for his critcally-acclaimed performance in the film Anatomy of a Fall. He has also appeared in the films Waiting for Bojangles and Stuck Together, and on the show In Therapy.
His father was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S., to French Jewish parents, and was raised in France. Milo’s mother, a visual artist, was born in Famalicão, Portugal, and moved to France when she was five. His brother, Solan Machado-Graner, is also an actor.
Milo’s paternal grandfather was named Georges-Jean Graner. Georges was born in Konstantinovski, USSR, of Hungarian Jewish parentage. He was an expert in Jewish genealogy, and administrator and general secretary of the Jewish Genealogy Circle.
Milo’s paternal grandmother is Marie-Gabrielle Marie-Jo Cahen (the daughter of Georges dit Geo/Joe Robert Cahen and Nelly Jacqueline Raynal). Marie-Gabrielle has deep French Jewish roots, traceable back centuries, including in Alsace-Lorraine. Georges was born in Paris, France, the son of Jules Cahen and Genny Gabrielle Isidor, who was from Charmes, Vosges, Lorraine. Nelly was born in Paris, the daughter of Jacques Isaac Raynal and Louise Rachel Moyse.
