Julie Kavner is an American actress, voice actress, and comedian. She voices Marge Simpson, as well as other characters, on the series The Simpsons. Julie is the daughter of Rose (Steinbock) and David N. Kavner.
Julie’s paternal grandparents were Isadore Itske Koyner/Kovner and Alice Dimbo/Dembo. Isadore was born in Vilnius, Lithuania. Alice was born in Liepāja, Latvia. Both were Jewish.
Julie’s maternal grandparents were Herman Steinbock (the son of Charles Steinbock and Yetta Sidenwerk) and Bertha Beresner. Herman was a Polish Jewish immigrant. Bertha was a Russian Jewish immigrant.
