Marc Bolan was a British singer, songwriter, musician, and poet. He was the lead singer of the rock band T. Rex.
Marc was the son of Phyllis Winifred (Atkins) and Simeon “Sid” Feld, a lorry driver. Simeon was Jewish, and his family was from Poland and Russia. Phyllis was of English descent.
