Peter Rosenberg is a radio personality on Hot 97. He is the co-host of Ebro in the Morning along side Ebro Darden. He grew up in a upper middle class Jewish upbringing and was introduced to Hip Hop through his older brother. He started his own underground Hip Hop radio show in the University of Maryland towards the end of the ‘Golden Age’ of Hip Hop. From there he did shows at different stations around the DC area.
Peter’s mother was born in a German displaced-persons camp and moved with her family to America. Peter says that he isn’t very religious but admits that his ethnic background has often come up throughout his career being one of the few Jewish personalities in the Hip Hop industry.
I know that I’m proud of being Jewish. I enjoy being one of the torchbearers in hip-hop. It’s a big part of who I am.
