Sarah’s maternal grandparents were Leon Rudin (the son of Alexander Rudin and Molly Saperstein) and Irma Dorothy Goodman (the daughter of Nathaniel/Nathan R. Goodman and Beatrice Voloshin/Voloskia). Leon was born in New York, to Russian Jewish parents. Nathaniel was born in Massachusetts, to Russian Jewish parents, Samuel Goodman and Esther Contter.
